Music Theory Examples in Video Game Music goes from basic music intervals to functional chords, modalities, substitutions, and more.

Music Theory Examples in Video Game Music is a massive list compiled by Dr. B.A. Ferguson, a professor of music at the College of Southern Maryland, with contributions by T.J. Laws-Nicola, and Alan Elkins. Ferguson teaches music theory, ear training, private guitar, and history of rock music in world cultures.
It is a “living document,” which means it will continue to grow as new games come out. Ferguson, Laws-Nicola, and Elkins also accept submissions. It is currently (December 2022) a massive resource at 36 pages long, single-spaced.
