The Victress Sessions is of special importance, as it highlights women classical composers who have been pushed aside by their male counterparts. As a woman who grew up looking for female representation (and was excited to find it in Star Trek: Voyager, Captain Amelia in Treasure Planet, and few other places), this is a book I wish I’d had when I was younger. I am so excited it exists now.
