Music Theory Myth 4: There’s only one system of Music Theory.
I’m going through a tutorial/training for a potential side hustle doing Roman numeral analysis (fingers crossed — I could use the extra money and practice!) and realizing how rusty I am! But more importantly, this training reminded me that there are many different ways to look at just Roman numerals in music.
While reading sheet music is not a requirement for playing an instrument, learning to read traditional music notation opens up entire worlds of music for you to explore.
